Product Description
Hello, I'm Riley Rabbit, your mascot, playtime friend, familiar(?) or just a listening companion for people of all ages. I am knit in the round - no seaming at all - and you can use almost any type of yarn you like to make me.
Materials
- 1 skein of DK weight yarn, or 1 skein of fingering weight + 1 skein of lace weight mohair, or 1 skein of fingering weight + 1 skein of suri alpaca. Or any other yarn similar to DK weight. You can also use heavier yarns, just remember that it will impact the size of the bear and the amount of yarn needed, needle size, the amount of stuffing and the size of the eyes, as well as potentially the size of the joints.
- 3 mm sock needles
- 1 progress keeper
- 1 stitch marker
- 4 sets of joints (male + female x4)
- Darning needle + needle with a smaller eye, for sewing the eyes in place.
- Stuffing
- If you choose to make the nose and mouth in a contrasting color, this requires <5 grams of yarn
- If you choose to make a nose the same color nose as the body color you will need >5 grams of yarn
- Small amount (>5 grams) of pink color (or color of choice) yarn for the outside of the nose and the mouth, should you choose to outline the nose and use the same color to make the mouth
- Small amount (ca 5 grams) for the inside of the ears
- Small amount (> 5 grams) for belly, inside hands and underside feet
- 2 pieces of 18 mm eyes
- 6 pieces of 20 cm/8” long fish line, to use as whiskers
