Product Description

On my first birthday I was given a teddy bear. He came to be my most loved toy and companion all through my childhood, as well as later in life, although I did not play with him anymore. But he was still loved just as much, and he still is, to this day. He is the inspiration behind this pattern, as I wanted to make a knitted teddy bear that could be someone elses companion, regardless of age. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do - there are teddy bears everywhere in my house now, and I'm still not tired of making them. :-) This pattern also includes pattern for some basic clothing, such as a sweater with long or short arm, tights, shorts and a skirt, all knit in leftover fingering weight yarns.

Materials
- 1 skein of DK weight yarn, or 1 skein of fingering weight + 1 skein of lace weight mohair, or 1 skein of fingering weight + 1 skein of suri alpaca. Or any other yarn similar to DK weight. You can also use heavier yarns, just remember that it will impact the size of the bear and the amount of yarn needed, needle size, the amount of stuffing and the size of the eyes, as well as potentially the size of the joints.
- 3 mm sock needles
- 1 progress keeper
- 1 stitch marker
- 4 sets of joints (male + female x4)
- Darning needle + needle with a smaller eye, for sewing the eyes in place.
- Stuffing
- Small amount (>5 grams) of black (or color of choice) yarn for the nose
- Small amount (>5 grams) for the inside of the ears
- 2 pieces of 18 mm eyes
